One month old!

We can't believe that it's been a month since we had Anna. We thank God for His grace in giving her good health and for restoring Mom's after delivery. Life seems to be getting into a routine now. Anna's going on lots of walks with Mama and is a great companion for errands. Nights are pretty regular- five hour sleep stretches- but Anna throws in the occasional 1AM- 4AM- 6AM pattern some nights to see if Mom can keep up.

Anna makes a lot of laundry. After church this morning, she had her lunch and then emptied her breakfast out onto her outfit. Bummer. Baths are fun though.

Well, we are off for a Sunday afternoon walk.

On Friday, Anna started smiling at us- the cutest thing you ever saw. She makes us work hard for each one though. After a while, you realize you've been repeating "Who's a cute little girl?" in a sing-song voice for too long to sound sane.

Here she is dressed up for church. Sundays have certainly changed since Anna joined us. We sit in the back with the other families with babies and it's a different experience. So far, Anna has slept through most of the services though. This past evening service, she was wide awake for the hymns and she was fascinated by the sound.

Though Mama said no to Anna wearing her Ravens outfit to church, Dad put it on her soon after getting home. This picture of her about to smile was taken after the Ravens' win.

Anna actually slept through the game and I think is smiling because she just had her diaper changed. Dad says to the contrary.

We went to Maryland this past weekend and Anna met lots of new people. Chris' parents had an open house for her on Sunday and she met her great grandmom for the first time.

Also on Sunday, was the Ravens' first football game... Chris went out Saturday to find Anna something to wear to cheer on her team. Here she is in her Ravens cheerleading outfit.

It's fine for now for Anna and Daddy time, but she's not going to grow up to be a cheerleader. We attribute the Ravens' decisive victory to their newest fan.
Anna will be three weeks tomorrow. She looks bigger and older everyday. She rolled over again last Saturday evening...

We figured we'd join in the blog game with the birth of our first child so we could update folks and post pictures. Here she is! We couldn't be happier. Anna is a great joy to us and reminds us constantly of God's generous grace to us. We are thankful for her safe arrival and her continuted good health.

Anna is now two weeks old and rolled over today, twice. Mama couldn't believe it and hopes it was an anomoly. We moved the bumper of her cradle already though, just in case. We saw the doctor this morning for her 2wk check-up and everything is going well- Anna's gaining about an ounce a day. Her height is in the 75th percentile while weight is 50th. She's taking after her daddy.

Anna smiles in her sleep, but no responsive smiles so far- we are close though- her eyes are smiling and we know she wants to. We'll keep you all posted!
