We figured we'd join in the blog game with the birth of our first child so we could update folks and post pictures. Here she is! We couldn't be happier. Anna is a great joy to us and reminds us constantly of God's generous grace to us. We are thankful for her safe arrival and her continuted good health.

Anna is now two weeks old and rolled over today, twice. Mama couldn't believe it and hopes it was an anomoly. We moved the bumper of her cradle already though, just in case. We saw the doctor this morning for her 2wk check-up and everything is going well- Anna's gaining about an ounce a day. Her height is in the 75th percentile while weight is 50th. She's taking after her daddy.

Anna smiles in her sleep, but no responsive smiles so far- we are close though- her eyes are smiling and we know she wants to. We'll keep you all posted!

  1. Hey guys!!!

I just wanted to be the first person to comment on your blog...i think it's great that you have a blog now...i've been writing one for about a year and a half and it's been pretty neat.

Anna is cute. She's got wonderful parents and enough people that are going to love her that she's got no choice, but to grow up and be the next...(insert a famous, sucessful, Godly woman).

I sent you a card with a bunch of stuff in it. I sure hope you get it in the next couple days.

I love you guys and I'm praying for you. Bye!

Wow your own blog. I will add it to my new blog collection.

This is a great way to show off Anna Katelyn. Joanne and I think she is beautiful. I am sure that you will thank God often for her.

  3. Grandmom Schwartz8:46 PM

This is a great idea! We got spoiled over the weekend and now miss Anna terribly--oh, and her parents, too. I sent the picture of her in her Ravens' outfit through my faculty website since so many of them are Ravens' fans. They loved it! Just keep posting new pictures so Opa and Grandmom can see our little angel grow. I'm sure we'll need to come to visit soon so we can fill up on Anna memories again.

  4. Opa is a new blogger so he hopes this message gets through. How wonderful to see pictures of Anna filling my screen at the end of a long day. I had to speak to a group tonight and I was able to use Anna Katelyn as an illustration for the first time. Anna - 2 miracles in one week. A Ravens victory and a motivational speech. You go girl! Opa

  5. Welcome to the wonderful world of grandparents. Anna Katelyn, what a beautiful baby and a beautiful name. What she is rolling over. Not only is Anna smiling but I can see all of you "beaming". Just wondering how she would sport one of those Jaguar outfits. Thank you for sharing. Blogging, hmmmm, something new to Rob and I.

  6. I'm so glad you have a blogspot! :)
Now I know what you've been up to next door in addition to laundry and diapers and sleeping and nursing...
